Coco Choco lollies.......Chocolate fantasy

These lollies are great for the children to help out with.You can decorate them in lots of way with sprinklers,more melted chocolate or chopped dry fruits.A great gift idea for our little ones.Try making them with white chocolate if you prefer.Let your imagination run wild.......

INGREDIENTS                                                                                                          

SERVES :8 pieces

1 cup desiccated coconut (finely powdered dried coconut)
¾ cup milkmaid cold
1/2 cup dark chocolate

METHOD

Mix desiccated coconut and milkmaid to form a smooth binding. Make small balls with it and prick toothpick in it and refrigerate for 1 hour. Melt chocolate in double boiler or microwave. Take out coconut balls from fridge and dip it in melted chocolate and keep it in standing form in bowl and again refrigerate for 30 minutes, to set chocolate.

YOU CAN ADD POWDERED ALMONDS ALSO. IF YOU FIND MIXTURE VERY STICKY ADD MORE COCONUT, GENERALLY AFTER FREEZING IT BECOMES NON-STICKY.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE MILKMAID YOU CAN ADD POWDERED SUGAR AND COLD MILK.

1. In a bowl, take 1 cup coconut.













3. Add 3/4 cup milkmaid.













4. Mix well.


5. Make small balls and prick toothpick on it and keep in fridge for 1 hour.













6. Melt chocolate in microwave add 1 tsp melted butter and dip the balls in it.













7. Make them stand in bowl and keep it in fridge for 30 minutes. Take out dust icing sugar and drizzle chocolate syrup and ENJOY!

Choco balls-balls of delight and ecstasy

Easy and quick dessert for kids.I saw this recipe in cooking show and without a moment I have writtn down.I tried and my daughters loved it.The blend of coco,chocolate and coconut together creates magic....Best chocolate treat for you kids who are preparing for exams....infact a mothers love to recharge the batteries of their children......smalldeeds of mother can create wonders....try this and post your valuable comments...

 INGREDIENTS                                           
12- 15 Marie Biscuits    
5-8 chocolate biscuit (optional)
2-3 tbsp cocoa powder
½ cup condensed milk
½ cup roughly chopped almonds
2 tbsp dessicated coconut powder

METHOD 

Grind all the biscuits in a jar to make a smooth powder. Transfer it in a bowl, add condensed milk, 2 tbsp chopped almonds, you can add walnuts and cashew nuts. Make a dough. Spread coconut powder and remaining chopped almonds in different plates. Roll the balls over coconut powder and some over almonds. Your balls are ready.
YOU CAN ADD DRY FRUITS OF YOUR CHOICE OR ACCORDING TO YOUR CHILD'S TASTE.

2. Grind it in a jar.

6. Add roughly chopped almonds or any nut of your choice and make a dough





















7. In one plate, spread roughly chopped almonds and roll balls over it.





















8. In other plate, spread coconut powder and roll chocolate balls over it.





















9. Decorate and serve.

MULTIGRAIN ATTA LADOO-Eat your way to good marks

"Don't just feed.....Nourish your child".....With exams round the corner,its time for our kids to gear up for some learning and creative thinking.Right nutrition plays a vital role in brain and memory development.Brain is the most important organ of the body after the heart;and rightly said,it is the powerhouse of the body.The brain goes through an additional stress during exams.Therefore it is essential to ensure that children are eating right during exams
Here I am presenting multigrain atta ladoo to boost brain function of our children.Happy cooking...Anamika

INGREDIENTS                                                                         
1 cup multi-grain atta (multi-grain whole wheat flour)
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar 
1/2 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup oats
1/4 cup coconut powder (optional)
1/4 cup roasted peanuts
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup cashew nuts
1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
1 tsp cardamom powder

METHODSeparately dry roast flax-seeds, sesame seeds, oats. Let it come down to room temperature and grind to make smooth and fine powder.
In a heavy bottomed pan, first dry roast whole wheat flour (multi-grain atta) on low flame for 2-3 minutes then add ghee and roast more till it is fragrant and brown.

Once it is fragrant add powdered flax seeds, powdered sesame seeds, powdered oats and powdered peanuts. Roast for another 2-3 minutes. Add roughly chopped almonds and cashews.

Remove from fire and add powdered sugar. Mix well.

Let it come to room temperature.

Make ladoos of desired size.

NOTES: IT WAS AN EXPERIMENT SO I ADDED SEEDS AND GRAINS ACCORDING TO AVAILABILITY. EVEN IF YOU OMIT ANY INGREDIENT WILL NOT EFFECT THE TASTE AND TEXTURE. BUT ADDING ATTA (WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR) IS MANDATORY.
